Primary Maths Heuristics Tuition

"The Singapore PSLE Mathematics syllabuses identified eleven heuristics which are applicable to problem solving at the upper primary level" (MOE,2001).

While these heuristics are required for mathematical problem solving in Singapore primary schools, the description and imparting of the techniques themselves are not explicitly spelt out in the upper primary math textbooks. This makes the methods difficult to grasp for our young mathematics learners.

By splitting apart the PSLE mathematics into techniques and heuristics, We are able to deliver highly focused mathematics classes for our primary school students. This is important because the skills being learnt are fundamentally different. Following our carefully deliberated programme, we are able to conquer the primary school PSLE math exams easily.
